Bucknell Men's Golf Shoots 305 at Navy Spring Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Freshman Pete Scialabba posted a 3-over-par 74 Saturday in the first round of the Navy Spring Invitational, leading the Bucknell men's golf team to a 305 team score after 18 holes. Eight of the 20 teams in the field shot below 300, and the Bison stand in a tie for 14th place with 18 holes still to come on Sunday.
In addition to Scialabba's 74, Will Bachman shot 76, J.J. Szmadzinski had a 77 and Schuyler Stitzer and Billy Wright both shot 78.
George Washington posted a 291 on Saturday and leads the tournament by one stroke over both Columbia and Georgetown. Penn (294) and Villanova (295) round out the top five.
The individual leaders are Georgetown's Brian Dorfman and George Washington's Taylor Fuqua at 1-under. Four others are one shot back at even-par.
Round two gets underway on Sunday morning.
