ABOUT THE BISON
- Bucknell had its season-opening tournament at William & Mary canceled last weekend due to Hurricane Irene.
- The Bison finished the 2010 season with a 10-17 overall record. Of their victories, four came in five-set matches, three in four-setters and three more in three-setters. Bucknell was 4-1 in matches that went the full five sets.
- Bucknell's first five-set win last season also turned out to be its first victory overall. The Bison downed Providence in the final match of the Bucknell Invitational, 25-22, 21-25, 14-25, 25-19, 16-14. Katie Baumgarten (South Pasadena, Calif./South Pasadena) clinched the win with a block solo on match point.
- Bucknell is 56-56 all-time when hosting in-season tournaments. The first Bucknell Invitational to make the schedule came in 1982 with the Bison going 5-1 against Towson State (W, 2-1), Scranton (W, 2-0), West Chester (W, 2-0 and L, 1-2), Robert Morris (W, 2-0) and SUNY-Cortland (W, 2-1).
- The Bison are also .500 all-time against each of their three opponents for this weekend. Bucknell and Fordham have split the series 8-8 since their first meeting in 1987. Bucknell and Dartmouth are 3-3 since 1994, and the Bison and Manhattan are 2-2 since 1983.
- Bucknell and Fordham faced off just last fall with the Rams taking a 1-3 win at the Columbia Classic. Kyleigh McAhren (Napa, Calif./Justin-Siena) led the Bison with 10 kills, while Kat Tauscher (Washington, D.C./National Cathedral School) chipped in a career-best 22 assists. It was Bucknell's fourth consecutive loss to Fordham.
- Bucknell and Manhattan have been unable to secure back-to-back wins against each other since first meeting 28 years ago. If the trend continues, the Bison should claim a victory on Saturday after losing the teams' last match 3-1 in 2000.
- The Bison are looking to snap a two-match skid against Dartmouth. The squads last squared off at the 2003 Bucknell Invitational where the Big Green had the upper hand, winning 3-2. Despite the loss, Bucknell's Breean Trapasso tallied 56 assists.
ABOUT THE RAMS
- Fordham is 1-0 on the year after having two of its three season-opening matches canceled due to Hurricane Irene. The Rams' win came in five sets over Rider (25-22, 20-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-12). Three players finished in double-digit kills, led by Brittany Daulton with 17. Daulton also finished with 15 digs, while Sara Konkel and Maria Rodenberg each tallied more than 20 assists.
- The Rams were 17-18 overall and 7-8 in the Atlantic 10 last season. Daulton is the leading returner in kills with 290 (2.50/set) last fall. Mary Diamantidis fell just short of the 1,000 assists mark, totaling 983 (9.73/set).

Freshman Hollegn Henderson has already amassed 80 assists (10.0/set), including 56 in the five-set match with Radford.
- The Jaspers finished the 2010 season with a 20-14 overall record and an 11-7 mark in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Havens totaled 263 (2.58/set) kills a year ago, making her the leading returning offensive player. Jamie Collareta led in assists with 1,239 (9.52/set).
