LEWISBURG, Pa. - The fall broadcast schedule for Bison Vision was announced Friday by the Bucknell Department of Athletics and Recreation. Seven football games will air live on Bison Vision, commencing with the home opener on Sept. 3 against Duquesne, while 10 other events from five other Bison sports will also be broadcast live.
Seven of the Bucknell football team's 11 games will be available on Bison Vision, including all five home contests. Doug Birdsong, Bucknell's coordinator of radio, television, marketing and promotions, as well as the lead play-by-play voice of the Bison Sports Network, will call all the football action along with Kevin Herr. The audio of each game will be available free of charge on SportsJuice.com and on the radio on 107.3 WEGH (Eagle 107).
In addition to the football broadcasts, field hockey, men's and women's soccer, volleyball and men's water polo will make two Bison Vision appearances each. A Sept. 2 evening field hockey outing against Princeton will kick off the 2011-12 Bison Vision slate. Birdsong will serve as the play-by-play voice for each game with select guest analysts.
Bison Vision will continue to offer an array of free content, including interviews, highlights and features, but live events do require a subscription. Subscriptions are available for $79.95 per year or $9.95 per month and fans can sign up through any Bison Vision link on BucknellBison.com. Archives of each live event will be available with a subscription.
Additional live events may be added if teams advance to their respective Patriot League Tournaments.
Bison Vision is also scheduled to air every home men's and women's basketball game as well as a pair of wrestling home dates this winter. The Nov. 10 match against Nebraska and the Feb. 5 date opposite American are the two wrestling broadcasts.
