WILLIAMSBURG, Pa. -- Paced by a 77 from Minjoo Lee, Bucknell posted a 312 in the final round of the C&F Bank Intercollegiate on Sunday. The Bison entered the day in eighth place but moved up to fourth, their best-ever finish in William & Mary's annual spring event.
The Bison shot 631 over 36 holes, trailing only Yale (606), St. John's (616) and Penn (625). Finishing just behind Bucknell at 634 were Penn State and Old Dominion. The Bison finished ahead of Penn State in a tournament for the first time.
Rounding out the top 10 in the 22-team field were Elon (640), William & Mary (643), Georgetown (644) and IUPUI (645).
Katie Jurenovich was Bucknell's low player for the weekend. After opening with a 77 in high winds on Saturday, she closed with a 79 and finished in a tie for 11th place. Lee (81-77) and Kasha Scott (80-78) both tied for 16th at 158, while Lauren Bernard (81-78) was one stroke back and finished T-21st. Also for the Bison, Bridget Wilcox shot 83-82.
The individual title went to Seo Hee Moon of Yale, who opened with a 6-under 66, followed by a 76 on Sunday. Moon won by six strokes over Harin Lee and Sebin Kim of St. John's.
Bucknell's previous best finish in this event was a T-7th in 2005. The Bison finished 14th here last season.
Next up is the Big South Championship at the Patriot Club at Grand Harbor, S.C., on Apr. 11-13.
