Bucknell Volleyball Paces Patriot League with 13 Academic Honor Roll Selections

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell volleyball placed a league-leading 13 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll on Tuesday. For the second year in a row, the Bison provided one of just two players in the league who earned a perfect grade-point average when Heidi Kamp (Eugene, Ore./Henry D. Sheldon) recorded a 4.0 during the fall semester.
The Bison's 13 selections to the honor roll more than doubled the total of the next closest school. American and Lehigh tied for second with six honorees each. The league recognized a total of 47 volleyball student-athletes for their academic success last term.
Joining her teammates in their success in the classroom was Rachel Rodriguez (Sagamore Hills, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit), who claimed her second academic honor of the season from the league. Rodriguez was Bucknell's lone selection to the Patriot League All-Academic Team in November. She was also the league's only ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District Team selection, earning a spot on the first team.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must achieve a 3.2 grade-point average in the fall semester.
