Bucknell's Marble, Rendos Listed in W.I.N. Magazine's Preseason National Rankings

W.I.N. Magazine Preseason Rankings
LEWISBURG, Pa. – David Marble (Harpursville, N.Y./Harpursville Central) and Andy Rendos (Brockway, Pa./Brockway Area), juniors on Bucknell's wrestling team, received recognition from W.I.N. Magazine earlier this week when they were listed among the nation's best in their respective weight classes in the publication's preseason rankings. Marble is listed 17th at 133 pounds, while Rendos is No. 15 at 165 pounds.
Both Marble and Rendos have qualified for the NCAA Championships in each of their first two years as Bison. Marble, who finished the 2007-08 campaign with a record of 27-9, was ranked third among EIWA wrestlers in the W.I.N. Magazine rankings at 133 pounds. Last year, Marble earned an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships by taking second at the EIWA Championships.
Rendos, who led the Bison in wins last year with 28, was also the third EIWA wrestler listed in his weight class. He owns a two-year record of 55-17 and also earned an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships last season after placing fourth at the EIWA Championships.
In addition to its individual rankings, W.I.N. Magazine also released its top 25 team rankings. Three Bucknell opponents are listed, including two that are ranked in the top 5. Iowa (No. 1) and Missouri (No. 5) are predicted to be among the top teams in the nation by W.I.N. Magazine, while Navy (No. 24) also appears in the rankings.
The Bison will open their 2008-09 campaign at home against Missouri on Sunday, Nov. 16.
