ITHACA, N.Y. -- Andrew Cohen (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) shot a 1-under-par 71 at wet Robert Trent Jones Golf Club on Saturday, helping the Bucknell men's golf squad to a team total of 298 and a tie for seventh place after round one of the Cornell Invitational.
Saturday's second round was cancelled due to rain, and the tournament will now finish with 18 holes on Sunday morning.
Cohen's second sub-par round in as many weeks has him in a tie for fifth place individually. Dan Abbondandolo of Siena has the lead with a 5-under 67, two shots better than Stephen Scialo of Delaware.
Also for Bucknell, Jeff Pike (Rye, N.Y./Rye) fired a 74, Ryan Schneiter (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) finished in 76, Brian Bartow (Rye, N.Y./Rye Neck) shot 77, and Andrew Wallisch (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) carded a 79.
Delaware at 287 has the team lead over Siena by just a single shot. Columbia is third at 290, followed by Dartmouth (296), Cornell (297), Central Connecticut (297), Bucknell (298) and Penn (298) in the 15-team field. The Bison are four shots ahead of Colgate, the only other Patriot League team in the event.
