The next batter, senior Austin Turban (Northfield, Ill./New Trier) was hit by a pitch and senior Shawn Hirsch (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) followed with a bases-clearing double that scored senior Mark Angelo (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown), Buursma, and Turban.
The Orange and Blue tacked on a fifth run in the top of the second. Yoder roped a one-out double to left center and came in on an RBI single by Grandizio.

In the bottom of the sixth, Delaware State crept back to within one with a home run by Jose Sanchez and tied it to force extra innings with a run on two hits in the seventh. Down to their last out, the Hornets extended the contest with an RBI single up the middle by Jarrett Bibb.
Bucknell promptly re-took the lead in the top of the eighth. After junior Andrew Loucks (Mississauga, Ontario/Appleby College) singled and Yoder was hit by a pitch, Grandizio blasted a home run, his third of the season to right, putting the Bison back on top, 10-7.
