Bucknell Volleyball Places Seven Student-Athletes on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell volleyball team landed seven of its student athletes on the 2007 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced on Wednesday. The Bison tied for second with Holy Cross, behind American, who paced the league with 10 honor roll members.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and be awarded a varsity letter.
Highlighting Bucknell's list of honorees were senior Tessa Mendez (Denver, Colo./Colorado Academy) and freshman Rachel Rodriguez (Sagamore Hills, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) who were among six student-athletes from around the league to post perfect 4.0 grade-point averages. Mendez is majoring in international relations, while Rodriguez is a management major. All seven Bison who made the list recorded 3.50 GPAs or better.
Elsewhere around the league, Colgate placed six student-athletes on the honor roll, while Army had five, Lafayette and Lehigh four and Navy three. The following are Bucknell's 2007 Patriot League Honor Roll members from the volleyball team.
