LEWISBURG, Pa. - Eleven members of the Bucknell softball team were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced on Thursday. The Bison total tied Lehigh for most in the league on the list of 48 student-athletes.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter.
Highlighting Bucknell's contingent were rising-juniors Ashley Carlson (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) and Emily Orazi (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) as the pair was among a group of four honor roll members who posted perfect 4.0 GPAs this spring. Carlson is an elementary education major, while Orazi is majoring in classics.
Elsewhere around the league, Holy Cross totaled 10 honorees, Lafayette nine, Colgate four and Army three.
