Bucknell Softball's Weekend Series at Colgate Postponed

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The cold front that has brought wintry conditions to the Northeast has forced the postponement of this weekend's Bucknell-Colgate softball series, which was slated to be played at the Raiders' Eaton Street Field. The teams were scheduled to play doubleheaders on both Saturday and Sunday.
No makeup date has been announced for the series. Bucknell (7-20, 1-3 Patriot League) is coming off a doubleheader split with non-league foe Drexel on Wednesday. The Bison won the first game 6-2, but fell in the second 4-1 as they concluded their sixth home game in a five-day stretch.
Colgate (12-15, 4-0 PL) was slated to open its home schedule this weekend.
Bucknell will now be idle until next weekend, April 14-15, when it hosts Lehigh in a key Patriot League weekend series. On Saturday, the 1997 Patriot League Championship team will be honored, while Senior Day festivities will highlight Sunday's doubleheader.
