Veronica Brown Ends Career on Top of Bucknell Records

LEWISBURG, Pa. - With her four year career with the Orange and Blue ending with a home match on Tuesday, April 25, Bucknell women's tennis co-captain Veronica Brown (Derwood, Md./Col. Zadok Magruder) emerged as the Bison's new record holder in the overall career doubles and combined victories category.
Brown tallied six dual match and nine total singles wins in the 2006 season and eight total doubles wins to set her career combined singles and doubles win-loss record at 158-88, earning the top spot, just three victories above 2005 graduate Nada Curcic. In the doubles category, the senior ended her career with 82 wins, five above Curcic.
In singles, Brown turned in an overall career record of 76-48, placing her third on the all-time list.
The 2006 Bison squad finished with an overall win-loss record of 9-12 (3-2 Patriot League) and finished in second-place at the Patriot League Tournament.
