Bucknell Softball Doubleheader at Colgate Rescheduled for April 12

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell and Colgate softball teams have set a makeup date for one of their two doubleheaders that were postponed last week. The Bison and Raiders will meet Tuesday, April 12, at 2 p.m. at Colgate's Eaton Street Field. No makeup date has been announced for the second doubleheader that was originally slated for the weekend of April 2-3 in Hamilton, N.Y., but was postponed due to unplayable field conditions.
Bucknell and Colgate are scheduled to meet four times this season. The Bison are currently 5-12 overall, 0-4 in the Patriot League, but are coming off a non-league doubleheader split with Towson. In the second game of the twinbill, the Bison posted a 3-0 shutout victory over the Tigers behind starting pitcher Lisa Vaccaro. The Raiders, who are 8-11 overall and 2-2 in the Patriot League, have lost three consecutive games.
Bucknell returns to Patriot League play this weekend when it travels to West Point, N.Y., for a four-game series with Army. Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. start, while Sunday's first game is slated for a 1 p.m. first pitch. Colgate opens its home schedule this weekend by hosting Lafayette in a four-game league series.
