On Saturday, October 18, members of the Junior Bison Club kicked off the 2003-04 athletic season with their very own pre-game football party on the Bucknell practice field. More than 50 children and their families attended the event, which took place prior to Bucknell's 14-10 win over Towson.
JBC members filled their bellies with all the hot dogs and chips they could eat, as well as plenty of drink, courtesy of Bucknell Dining Services and Weis Markets.
The Bison mascot and some of the cheerleading squad were also on hand to help in the festivities. Kids left the party with orange and blue painted across their faces thanks to the Bison cheerleaders. Bison Land, which consisted of giant inflatable games and rides, was a huge hit with the Junior Bison Club members. In addition, many of the children took advantage of the autograph signing session with the Bucknell football team following the game. Select members of the team signed posters, shirts and hats!
