LEWISBURG, Pa. - The lone seniors on Bucknell's women's lacrosse team - attack Suzanne Raffaele (Springfield, Pa./Archmere) and goalie Nicole Kallis (Stevensville, Md./St. Mary's - capped a memorable weekend by collecting Patriot League offensive and defensive player of the week honors, respectively, on Monday.
After being honored prior to their final career home contest on Saturday, Raffaele and Kallis teamed up to lead the Bison to a 12-8 victory over Villanova, securing Bucknell's first-ever Patriot League Tournament berth. Raffaele scored the team's first three goals of the day and finished with a game-high four tallies, while Kallis was terrific in goal with 12 saves.
Bucknell's victory over the Wildcats clinched the No. 3 seed at next weekend's Patriot League Tournament. The Bison will play No. 2 Colgate Saturday at 3 p.m. in the second semifinal game.
Raffaele also logged four goals in Bucknell's 15-6 rout of non-league foe LaSalle last Wednesday. She leads the Bison and ranks fourth in the Patriot League with 29 goals this season.

Kallis had 15 saves while allowing only five goals in the win over LaSalle. She leads the Patriot League in all three goaltending categories - saves per game (11.25), save percentage (.584) and goals-against average (8.07).
Kallis earned her second defensive player of the week citation of the season - the other came on March 31 - while Raffaele was honored for the first time in 2003.
At 7-6 on the season (3-3 Patriot League), with one regular season game remaining - at Drexel on Tuesday - the Bison are looking to lock up their first winning season since 1998.
