Bucknell Track and Field Opens Season on Saturday at Gerhard Fieldhouse

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's and women's track and field teams will open their seasons this Saturday in the Bison Opener. Fifteen schools from Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia will come to Lewisburg to participate in the one-day event.
The day will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the field events and continue at 12:00 p.m. with running events ranging from the 55-meter dash to the 3000-meter run. In all competitions except the hurdle finals, the women will compete first, followed by the men.
Competing schools include Bucknell, Dickinson, Elizabethtown, Gettysburg, Indiana, Lock Haven, Shippensburg, Slippery Rock, Susquehanna, and Temple from the state of Pennsylvania, with UMBC and Morgan State coming in from Maryland, Hartwick from New York, the James Madison women's team from Virginia, and the Georgetown women's team from the District of Columbia.
