Becky Fisher Named Lewisburg Hotel Bison Athlete of the Week

Lewisburg, Pa. - Bucknell volleyball player Becky Fisher (Darien, Conn./Darien) was named the Lewisburg Hotel Bison Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 19 after her 17-kill performance against Colgate last Saturday. The Bison are 6-1 in league play and 10-9 overall following the win and the first half of Patriot League play.
Fisher's 17 kills shattered her previous career high of five kills. Last season, the sophomore middle hitter/outside hitter had 34 kills total, and had 21 kills this season coming into the Colgate match. The Lewisburg Hotel Bison Athlete of the Week is chosen each week by the Bucknell Office of Athletic Communications.
Fisher and her teammates head out on the road for the next two weekends to start the back half of Patriot League play, visiting Holy Cross and Army Oct. 24 and 25 and Lafayette and Lehigh Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, respectively. The next homestand will be Bucknell's last of the regular season, when Navy and Patriot League-leading American visit Nov. 7-8.
