Junior Bison Club Kicks Off 2002-03 Year With Football Pregame Party

On Saturday, September 28, members of the Junior Bison Club kicked off the 2002-03 athletic season with their very own pregame football party on the Bucknell practice field. More than 50 children and their families attended the event, which took place prior to Bucknell's 27-13 win over Delaware State.
JBC members filled their bellies with all the hot dogs they could eat and plenty of drink, courtesy of Bucknell Dining Services and Weis Markets.
The Bison mascot and some of the cheerleading squad were also on hand to help in the festivities. Face painting was popular, but not nearly as popular as the great inflatables that were set up on the field. The kids enjoyed the Wave of Fire, the Space Shuttle, the Turnaround Obstacle Course and Seaweed the Sea Monster.
In addition, many of the children took advantage of the autograph signing session with the Bucknell football team following the game. The team signed posters, shirts and hats!
JBC members are already looking forward to their next party, a basketball celebration on January 26!
