Bucknell Continues to Hold Lead in Patriot League Presidents' Cup Race

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Patriot League office released the official point totals in the race for the conference's coveted Presidents' Cup on Thursday, and Bucknell continues to hold the lead following the winter athletic season.
The Bison gained second-place points in men's swimming & diving, and both men's and women's indoor track & field on the way to 28.5 points in the six winter sports. Through the 13 championship sports contested during the fall and winter seasons, Bucknell has totaled 64.5 points to edge Lehigh (63.0 points) heading into the nine-sport spring season.
In the race for the women's all-sports trophy, Bucknell has the lead with 37.5 points, followed by Lehigh at 31.5. On the men's side, the Bison currently sit in second place behind Lehigh with 27.0 points.
Bucknell has dominated the Presidents' Cup, winning the all-sports trophy in seven of the league's ten years. In addition, Bucknell has captured the women's trophy six times, including the last three years, and the men's trophy twice.
The Patriot League office is responsible for releasing the standings three times during the course of the year, after the fall season, following the winter season, and at the conclusion of the academic year.
