Army Tops Bison Volleyball, 3-2

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Freshman Jackie Leahy posted 14 kills and 11 digs, but the Bison were outlasted 3-2 (30-27, 22-30, 23-30, 30-27, 10-15) by Army in Patriot League volleyball action at West Point Saturday evening.
Bucknell lost for the third time in the last four matches, and dropped to 11-10 and 7-6 in league play. Army improved to 11-10 and 8-5 in league play.
Senior Shannon Walker added 13 kills and three blocks for the Bison, and sophomore Brandi Trapasso had 10 kills and 11 digs. Senior Whitney Williams dished out 45 assists.
Stacy Gervelis and Leah Shubin led Army with 25 and 22 kills, respectively.
The Bison will play their final home game of the season on Tuesday against non-league opponent Loyola starting at 7 p.m.
