Women's Tennis Team Picked to Finish Fifth in Preseason Poll

LEWISBURG, PA -- Bucknell tallied 20 points to finish fifth in a preseason poll of Patriot League coaches' and sports information directors' for the 2001 women's tennis season. The Bison finished the 2000 season with a 5-10 overall record and a mark of 0-4 in the Patriot League.
Army, which garnered 10 first-place votes, was selected to win the annual Patriot League men's tennis championship with 50 points. Colgate finished second with the remaining two first-place votes and 42 points. Lafayette earned third place with 32 points. Lehigh (26 points) edged out Bucknell (20 points) for fourth position and Holy Cross (10 points) rounded out the poll.

The 2001 Patriot League Championship will be played April 28-29 at Bucknell University.
