Women's Basketball Player Molly Creamer Named Regional Player of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell sophomore guard Molly Creamer (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) was named the Eastern College Women's Basketball Coaches & Media Association Regional Player of the Week for the Central New York/Pennsylvania region. The recognition was given for the games from January 22 through January 28.
Creamer averaged 25.7 points per game and 6.0 assists per game in a 2-1 week for the Bison. She scored a game-high 25 points against Binghamton on 9-for-18 shooting from the floor and was 3-6 from three-point range in the game. She was a large contributor to a 2-0 Patriot League week for the Orange and Blue. Creamer scored a game-high 26 points, going 11-for-17 from the field, in a crucial road victory at Colgate on Wednesday (93-83). She scored seven of her 14 first half points during a 14-7 run to close the first half and tie the game at halftime. Creamer then tallied a game-high 26 points in another big road win for the Bison at Lehigh on Saturday (89-79), improving BU's road record to 7-2. She finished the game 9-for-13 from the floor, 2-for-3 from three-point territory and 6-for-6 from the free throw line. She tallied the second double double of her career, handing out a career-best 12 assists in the contest.
Creamer is leading the team and the Patriot League with 20.2 ppg, 5.11 assists per game and 2.95 steals per game.
The Bison are 14-5 overall, their best start in school history, and 5-1 in Patriot League action. Bucknell hosts a non-league game Wednesday, January 31, against Stony Brook before hosting league rival Navy on Saturday, February 3.
