Walker Wins Third Offensive Player of the Week Honor This Season

Lewisburg, Pa. --- Junior middle hitter, Shannon Walker (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield) was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts versus Colgate on Saturday, November 11, 2000.
In Bucknell's only match of the week, Walker led all Bison with 23 kills for a 5.75 kills per game average in the four-set match against Colgate. More importantly, Walker's efforts helped the Orange and Blue clinch the regular season title and the number one seed at the League tournament. Her hitting percentage for the evening was .450. Walker also added one defensive dig and two blocks for the Bison against the Red Raiders. The honor is her third Offensive Player of the Week award this season.
The Bucknell volleyball team will be hosting the Patriot League Volleyball Tournament this weekend, November 18-19. The Bison will play against the number four seed Lehigh on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. with the second game between #2 Colgate and #3 Army at 2:00 p.m. The championship contest will be played on Sunday, November 19 at 1:00 p.m. in Davis Gymnasium.
