LEWISBURG, PA - The official Internet site for Bucknell University's Department of Athletics and Recreation is moving to FANSonly, the largest supplier of Internet sites for intercollegiate athletics programs, according to John Hardt, Bucknell's Director of Athletics & Recreation. The new state-of-the-art athletics web-site will be launched at BucknellBison.com on October 26.
"We are extremely excited about our new relationship with FANSonly," stated Hardt. "With the increasing use of the World Wide Web by prospective student-athletes, parents of current student-athletes, Bucknell alumni and Bison supporters, comprehensive athletic sites have become imperative. We believe that our alliance with FANSonly will afford us a state of the art Internet presence, as well as providing an information conduit to each of these groups, and to millions of sports enthusiasts who may not otherwise have access to Bison athletics information."
Bucknell's new athletics site will be accessed at BucknellBison.com. The site, which is also accessible through FANSonly's home page, fansonly.com, will include information on all 28 Bison intercollegiate sport programs, as well as information regarding the Bison Club, the University official support group for Bison athletics.
With over 75 official intercollegiate athletic sites (including Notre Dame, Northwestern, Michigan State, Princeton and Army among others) and more college sports content than any other source, FANSonly Network has emerged as the nation's leading internet destination for intercollegiate athletics information. Featuring exclusive stories and photos, live game broadcasts and statistics, online stores, as well as the Internet's largest collection of college sports multimedia programming, FANSonly continues to provide a complete online package for the premiere intercollegiate athletics programs and athletic conferences in the country.
"FANSonly is proud to form an association with Bucknell University," said Jeff Cravens, FANSonly Network's Vice President and General Manager. "BucknellBison.com will be the complete destination for Bucknell fans, alumni, and students to follow their favorite Bison teams. The power of the Internet has become a vital part of any athletic department's marketing, promotional, sales and information efforts, and it is a credit to Bucknell that they will be taking full advantage of it."
