Bucknell volleyball loses a tough one to Fordham

Lewisburg, Pa. --- This evening the Bucknell women's
volleyball team ran into a juggernaut from the Atlantic 10 conference.
Fordham, after coming off three straight conference losses, beat
the Bison in three sets, 15-13, 15-3, and 15-1.
The Orange and Blue held a lead in the first stanza but were
unable to put the finishing touches on the Rams, losing 15-13.
The next two games would be won quite easily by Fordham only allowing
Bucknell a total of four points.
In a match that lasted a total of 65 minutes, senior Melissa
Langness led the Rams' attack with 11 kills on 19 attempts while
only committing three errors for a .421 hitting percentage. Overall,
Fordham finished the contest with a team hitting percentage of
.286, which included a .353 percentage in the third and final
set.
The Bucknell volleyball team falls to 10-13 on the season but will have an opportunity to redeem itself tomorrow night when it travels to Annapolis, Md to take on Patriot League foe, Navy at 7:00 p.m. The Bison are currently in first place in the Patriot League with a 5-1 record and this contest will mark the beginning of the second half of conference play.
