Susan Rowland Miller was a four-year letterwinner in both indoor and outdoor track and field at Bucknell, and she served as a co-captain of the track teams during her senior season. Rowland Miller burst onto the scene as a freshman, finishing second, third and fourth in the 55-meter dash, 1,600-meter relay and 300-meter dash, respectively, at the East Coast Conference Indoor Championships. During the outdoor season she was fifth in the 100-meter dash. She went on to become one of the premier sprinters in Bucknell history. Her collective track and field resume includes 14 first-place finishes and seven seconds in individual and relay events at ECC Championship meets. The Abington, Pa., native also earned All-East recognition on a relay team. She culminated her indoor career by earning Outstanding Performer of the Meet honors at the ECC Championships with a first-place finish in the 200, 400 and 1,600 relay, and a second-place showing in the 55-meter dash.Â
