Bob Barry is one of Bucknell's finest basketball centers ever and ranks among the team's all-time leaders in scoring (1,809 points) and rebounding (986). The 6-7 Barry averaged 16.9 points per game in his career as he led the Bison to 18 wins as a junior and 20 as a senior. He was co-captain of the 1979-80 team that finished 20-7, shared the East Coast Conference Western Section championship and became the first Bucknell team ever to reach the 20-win plateau. That year he earned his second All-ECC First Team selection to go with Second Team honors as a sophomore. Barry led Bucknell in rebounding all four years and was the leading scorer three times, including as a freshman in 1976-77, when his 441 points were the third-highest total ever by a first-year Bison player. Barry, who played professionally in France for a year, is the only four-time winner of the Kribbs Award, which is presented to the team's most valuable player. He came to Bucknell from Baltimore's Loyola Blakefield High School.
