Ralph Turri ’76 was an outstanding two-sport athlete at Bucknell in the mid-1970s. He was a three-year starting linebacker on the football team and a two-year starting midfielder in lacrosse, and he served as team captain in both sports. Turri led the 1974 football team with 162 tackles in a 10-game season and was named to the Associated Press All-Pennsylvania First Team that year. As a junior, Turri was named to the All-East Coast Conference lacrosse squad in Bucknell's first year in that league. Known as a hard-hitting linebacker, Turri was also a physical force on the lacrosse field at 6'1" and 230 pounds.Â

After Bucknell, Turri graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine and became a podiatrist in his hometown of West Islip, N.Y.
