Paul Maczuzak was one of Bucknell's finest football linemen of his era and a three-year starter at offensive tackle. Breaking into the starting lineup on the 1965 team that won the Middle Atlantic Conference championship, he was the only sophomore on the All-MAC team that year and went on to become only the fourth Bucknell player to earn first team all-league honors three straight years. In addition, Maczuzak was a second team Little All-America selection in 1966 and received honorable mention in his senior year. He was named to the All-Pennsylvania first team in 1966 and 1967 and honorable mention in 1965. In 1966 Maczuzak was first team All-ECAC ad second team All-East. As an indication of how times have changed, he was, at 6-2, 225 pounds, the biggest player on the All-MAC offensive line in 1966. Maczuzak came to Bucknell from Ellsworth, Pa., and graduated from Bentleyville-Ellsworth High School.Â
