Mike Augsberger was a four-year starting defensive back for the Bison football team. The Malvern Prep product was recognized as an AFCA/Kodak First Team All-American following his senior year, when he made 75 tackles and intercepted three passes from his free safety position while helping Bucknell to a 7-4 record, its best mark in 26 years. A two-time All-Patriot League selection, Augsberger logged nine interceptions and 327 tackles in his career. The latter figure was third-most in team history.

Augsberger earned the 1990 Clarke Hinkle Award as the team’s most outstanding defensive back or linebacker, and he was the co-recipient of the Christy Mathewson Award as the top athlete in his senior class. After graduation, Augsburger went into the finance industry and was based in Zurich, Switzerland.
