A four-year swimming letterman, co-captain of the 1975-76 team and a member of Bucknell teams that won four consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference and East Coast Conference championships, Geoff Miller was one of the most dominant swimmers of perhaps the greatest swimming era in school history. Winner of the Christy Mathewson Award as the top athlete in his class, Miller was one of only two Bucknell swimmers to win conference championships at four freestyle distances, and during his career he won seven individual conference titles and was on 10 relay teams that took conference gold medals. He set three league individual records and was on three record-setting relay teams, and at one time he held five individual or relay school records. Twice a competitor at the NCAA Swimming Championships, Miller was also a two-year starter for the Bucknell Water Polo Club that won Eastern Conference titles in 1974 and 1975, and he was an All-East Second Team selection in 1975. Miller was a native of Lancaster, Pa., and a graduate of Manheim Township High School.
