A co-captain and four-year letterman in cross country and track and field at Bucknell, Frank Carroll twice earned All-East honors in cross country, and ran on a relay team that placed 11th at the 1974 NCAA Indoor Championships. Carroll was the Middle Atlantic Conference champion in the mile in 1974 and was on cross country teams that won the IC4A College Division championship in 1973 and placed second in 1972 and 1974. A former school record-holder in the indoor and outdoor mile run, he also set a school mark in the indoor 1,000, was a member of four record-setting relay teams and was part of the Bison's distance medley relay squad that posted the 11th-place finish at the 1974 national meet. Carroll came to Bucknell from St. James High School in Chester, Pa.Â
