Bucky the Bison Mascot Appearance Request
Bucky the Bison is the official mascot of Bucknell Athletics and is sponsored by Service First Federal Credit Union.
Please use this form to request an appearance by Bucky the Bison at your event. Bucky is available for appearances within a 20-mile radius of Bucknell's campus. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis and could require an additional charge.
All appearances by Bucky are booked on a first-come, first-served basis and are dependent upon availability. All requests must be made two weeks (14 days) prior to the event. The Bucknell mascot coordinator will reply within three business days of submission of this form to confirm availability.
A private and secure changing room (not a public restroom) must be provided for the mascot to change and keep belongings locked during the appearance. Water, preferably bottled, must be provided to the mascot. The mascot cannot be required to be inside the suit for longer than a maximum of one hour at a time before taking a 15-minute break. If the event is outdoors, please allow extra breaks during that allotted time. The mascot is unable to perform in severe weather. Major repair or cleaning of the costume resulting from damage sustained at your event (outside of normal wear and tear) will be billed to the requestor.
All appearances are limited to two hours in length. There is a $25 per hour fee for on-campus, Bucknell-sanctioned events, which can be billed to a departmental account. There is a $50 per hour fee for personal or private events off campus.
