Fresh off one of its finest seasons in program history, the Bucknell Volleyball team reloaded its coaching staff for the forthcoming 2025 campaign by hiring Allison Palmi. The new hire brings five seasons of collegiate volleyball experience to the Orange & Blue.

"I am so grateful and excited for the opportunity to join Tyler and the coaching staff at Bucknell!" said Palmi. "I can't wait to get in the gym and help contribute to the excellence that this team has already displayed. Go Bison!"

Palmi played four seasons for the University of Incarnate Word collecting 785 kills. She also played excellent floor defense gathering 488 digs. Her 352 kills led the 2023 Cardinals. A clutch player, she saved her best play for the postseason tournament being named four-time All-Tournament selection at UIW. The Cardinals won 40 games during her four years despite COVID-19 halving the 2020 season.

Following her career with the Cardinals, Palmi spent her fifth season with USC Upstate. She posted 246 kills - third best on the team. The Spartans went 8-6 in Big South play earning the third seed in the conference tournament and tying for the second-most conference victories in a single season in the program's Division I era (2007-pres.). It was only the second time the program finished above .500 in the Division I tenure. The season featured USC Upstate's first win over UNC Asheville.

"I am excited to have Allison join our coaching staff," said head coach Tyler Hagstrom. "She has just finished a fantastic playing career which will provide an immediate impact to our training. She is a competitor who understands the game at a high level, which will allow her to connect and impact our student-athletes in a positive way."

A Kissimmee, Florida native, she became a pillar of the local volleyball community serving five years as a coach at the Osceola Volleyball Camp. After her playing career ended in 2024, she was hired as the head coach of the Stars Carolina Volleyball Club. Palmi graduated from Incarnate Word with a bachelor's in communications.
