A veteran of game and event operations, Leslie Moore came to Bucknell in 2007-08 and has earned a number of promotions, going from game operations assistant to coordinator of event operations to her current role as Assistant Director of Athletics/Operations and Events, which she was elevated to in September 2011.
A 2001 graduate of Temple University with a degree in sport and recreation management, Moore earned her master's degree in sport management from West Virginia in 2006. She came to Bucknell from Harvard, where she spent a year an an athletic events/operations intern.
Moore got started in event operations while still a student at Temple when she was a group servies intern with Comcast-Spectacor. She helped promote events at the First Union Center and assisted with group and corporate outings at the venue. Another internship, this one with the CAVS/Gund Arena Company, followed. Moore assisted with event, meeting and game-day coordination at Gund Arena, the home of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Cleveland Lumberjacks (IHL).
Moore parlayed her experience with the CAVS/Gund Arena Company into another job as the stagehand payroll coordinator during her senior year at Temple.
Following graduation, Moore worked as the operations manager at The Sports Center at Chelsea Piers in New York City for more than three years. Among her many duties were coordinating and supervising all staff, including maintenance, housekeeping, security and front desk personnel.
While at West Virginia working on her master's degree, Moore was a sports management graduate teaching assistant.
