Colleen Looney joined the Bucknell strength and conditioning staff in August 2016. She graduated from Gettysburg College in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in health science. Looney then earned her master’s degree in exercise science from Appalachian State University in 2015.
A four-year defender on the Gettysburg women’s soccer team, Looney most recently was employed as a performance specialist at InMotion Sports Performance, where she designed and implemented needs-based training sessions for clients.
Looney was a graduate assistant in the strength and conditioning office at Appalachian State, and also completed an internship there. She also completed a tactical athlete performance internship with the Naval Special Warfare Group 4 in the summer of 2015.
During her undergraduate days, Looney was a campus recreation supervisor and was the women’s soccer team’s strength and conditioning captain.
Looney is an NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist and is a USA Weightlifting level one sports performance coach.
