Cassandra Baier joined the Bucknell strength and conditioning staff in January 2013 as an assistant. She works with the Bison Olympic sports, devoting most of her time to the women's programs.
A 2007 graduate of Slippery Rock University, Baier started her career as a strength and conditioning intern at West Virginia in 2007-08. She then spent three years as a full-time assistant at Michigan, working closely with the Wolverines' football and softball programs.
In 2011, Baier took a strength and conditioning position with the Army in Fort Lee, Va., teaching and training soldiers in the newly adopted Physical Readiness Training protocol. She remained in that position for two years before coming to Bucknell.
Baier's degree from Slippery Rock is in exercise science. She completed a master's degree in exercise science and health promotion from California University of Pennsylvania in 2009. Baier holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS), USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach, National Association of Speed and Explosion, NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist and American Heart Association CPR-AED.
