Update from Interim Head Volleyball Coach Jeremy Young -- October 2025

Dear Bucknell Volleyball Alumni, Friends and Families,
Welcome to the 2025 season! The past couple months have been a whirlwind of change for Bucknell Volleyball, and it is hard to believe we are already underway with Patriot League play. We had an enthusiastic crowd for our first game in Davis Gym during Family Weekend, and we hope to see you in Lewisburg throughout the fall. Most matches also will be streamed on ESPN+ for you to follow along from home.
There are many familiar faces on the court this season, and you might have seen some new ones as well. This past spring, the program welcomed two new assistants, Kristen Sipling and Allison Palmi. They are joined by five first-year student-athletes who come to Lewisburg from coast to coast. Moreover, I have stepped into a new role for this fall, and while I am still adjusting to life with less sleep, the players on this team made the transition easy with a productive and energetic preseason. Their engagement helped us to navigate a really challenging non-conference schedule, including matches against Iowa State, North Carolina, and defending national champion Penn State, among other competitive programs. It would have been nice to win one or two more matches, but we are continuing to learn and grow, and ultimately our goal is to be at our best in November.
From the start of our season, I believed that the Patriot League would be highly competitive this year, and already that has proven to be true. Every team is stronger; every match is meaningful in qualifying for the Patriot League tournament. We have a lot of experience on the roster, and at the same time, we have players in new and expanded roles, as well as first-year student-athletes diligently making a case for themselves. One thing has remained the same: we want to compete for a Patriot League championship.
Thank you for your continued support of our players and program. You do so much toward helping to provide a fully balanced experience for our student-athletes, and we appreciate every bit of it. For those of you returning to campus for Homecoming, we would love to see you! We have home games on Friday, October 3, at 7 p.m., as well as Saturday, October 4, at 4 p.m. If you will be at other matches, home or away, we look forward to saying hello.
Go Bison!
