Dear Alumni, Parents, and Friends of Bucknell Softball,
Â
I hope this letter finds you well and refreshed from a long summer break. Our players have been dropped off, moved in, and started their first week of classes. Team 46 is gearing up to return to the field, and there is a lot of energy and enthusiasm as we prepare to kick off another chapter in our softball journey.
Â
Last year, our dedicated and hardworking athletes propelled us to the Patriot League Tournament, marking a significant milestone as it was our first time back since 2019. We had to win the last six conference games to qualify, and they found a way to do it. Those games were some of the most exciting in the time I have been at Bucknell. Our team's unity, determination, and perseverance truly paid off, and we couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments.
Â
This season, our senior class will lead the way: Noelle Gardon, Hunter Vestal, Zoie Smith, and Annabella Hawkins have already set the standard for excellence, demonstrating the kind of leadership that fosters growth, teamwork, and a strong sense of community within our squad. I know they have one goal in mind this season: to win it all!
Â
With that, we are also excited to welcome a fresh wave of talent to the fold. A group of remarkable first-year players will be joining us: Brooke Popella, Bridget Haller, Sarah Zimmerman, Molly Lawson, and Shea Malone. Their energy, enthusiasm, and dedication serve as a testament to the bright future that lies ahead for Bucknell Softball.
Â
As we unite again, we invite all of you – our valued parents, loyal alums, dedicated fans, and cherished friends – to be part of this exciting journey. Your unwavering support has been the backbone of our successes, and we look forward to sharing more memorable moments with you in the upcoming season. Your cheers from the stands, words of encouragement, and belief in our team mean the world to us. Below are the dates you can see us this fall:
Â
The first day of practice is just around the corner, and there is a buzz in the air as we prepare to start training and get to know one another better. We are confident that this season holds endless possibilities, and with your continued support, we are ready to rise to new heights.
Thank you for being a vital part of the Bucknell Softball family. Here's to a successful and exhilarating season ahead!
Â
Go Bison!
