Bardunias Earns Patriot League Women’s Golfer of Week Honors

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell freshman Sophia Bardunias earned her second Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week citation on Wednesday after a strong showing at the Jackrabbit Invitational. Bardunias shot 77-74-74 and vaulted into the top-20 with the strong finish.
The San Ramon, Calif., native placed T-19th in a field of 92 players at Boulder Creek GC. Bardunias made a team-high eight birdies on the week. She also won a Golfer of the Week honor in September after finishing in fourth place at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational in Ohio.
Bardunias leads the Bison with a 78.1 spring average, and her 77.4 mark over the full season is just a shade below teammate Nicole Yun (77.3).
Bucknell will be back in action on March 29-30 at the Prospect Bay Intercollegiate in Grasonville, Md.
