Field Hockey Named a 2024 NFHCA National Academic Team

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison field hockey team has been named one of 57 Division I teams with the esteemed 2024 National Academic Team Award as announced by the NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association).Â

This prestigious acknowledgment is granted to programs that have achieved an exceptional team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year.
The Bison field hockey team recorded a GPA of 3.63 during the fall semester. Three student-athletes posted a perfect 4.00 mark and 18 players were 3.50 and higher.Â
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to champion, strengthen, and celebrate field hockey coaches and the game. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
