LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bison Athletics continued its success in the classroom by placing 10 student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Men's & Women's Academic All-District At-Large Teams. The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and meet strict, sport-specific playing time requirements. The at-large program encompasses all sports that do not have their own Academic All-America program.Â
Bucknell's honorees this spring are Rachel Apa (field hockey), Emily Baird (women's lacrosse), Haley Beardsley (rowing), Ben Bonafede (men's lacrosse), Connor Davis (men's lacrosse), Juliette Gaggini (rowing), Kira Leclerq (field hockey), Grant Malas (men's lacrosse), Isabelle Monaghan (women's water polo), and James Robbins (men's golf).Â
Rachel Apa (Field Hockey): Apa, a markets, innovation & design major, started all 17 games for the Bison. She set a career-high in goals (6) and points (13). Gaggini was a three-time Academic All-Patriot League honoree and became the first Bison ever to cox the Varsity Eight all four years.Â
Kira Leclercq* (Field Hockey): Leclercq, an environmental engineering major, cemented herself as one of the Patriot League's premier defenders. She earned First Team All-Patriot League and Second Team NFHCA honors this spring. Leclercq finished ninth nationally in defensive saves while tallying 14 points on five goals and four assists.

His finest showing was a 2-under 69 at the Bash at the Beach, held in Myrtle Beach. In the Fall 2023 campaign, he played in four of five tournaments, finishing second on the team with a 74.3 average.
