
Eight Bucknell Wrestlers Earn EIWA Academic Achievement Awards

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Eight Bucknell wrestlers earned EIWA Academic Achievement Awards for their performance on the mat and in the classroom during the 2022-23 season, as was announced by the EIWA on Wednesday.
Of the eight honorees, four placed at this year's EIWA Championships and three competed at the NCAA Championships in Tulsa, Okla. last month. It's the second time in three years that Bucknell has had eight wrestlers recognized. Of the 17 EIWA institutions, Bucknell was one of five that had eight or more honorees.
To be eligible for the award, wrestlers must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.20 and participated in the EIWA Championships or posted a cumulative GPA of 3.00 and qualified for the NCAA Championships.
Junior Kurt Phipps earned the EIWA Academic Achievement Award for the third consecutive season, while seniors Darren Miller and Mason McCready are now two-time honorees.
The following are the Bucknell wrestling team's 2023 EIWA All-Academic team members:

Darren Miller, Sr., electrical engineering
Dylan Chappell, So., chemical engineering/management for engineers
Chase Barlow, Fr., undeclared
Mason McCready, Sr., biology/environmental science
Nolan Springer, So., political science
Dorian Crosby, Jr., early childhood education
