LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell wrestling's Logan Deacetis (184) has been named the EIWA Wrestler of the Week after going 3-0 over the weekend and helping the Bison pick up two dual wins, including a victory over EIWA foe Sacred Heart Friday.
Deacetis is the second Bison to earned EIWA Wrestler of the Week this season, joining 141-pounder Darren Miller.
Perhaps the biggest win of the weekend for Deacetis came in Bucknell's hard-fought loss to Buffalo, as the sophomore registered an 11-7 decision over nationally-ranked Giuseppe Hoose.
Earlier in the day, Deacetis was one of four Bison to record a pin in Bucknell's 36-7 win over Edinboro. It was the team's first-ever victory over the Scots. He also added bonus points in Friday's 33-6 win at Sacred Heart, posting an 11-3 decision over Hunter Perez.
Deacetis now has two falls, a tech fall and two major decisions on the season and is 8-4 overall. As a team, the Bison are 2-2 in duals, having lost to No. 11 Oklahoma State in the season opener.
Up next, the Bison head to Chattanooga, Tenn. to take part in the annual Southern Scuffle on Jan. 1 and 2.
