Bucknell Wrestling Hosts 2022 Intrasquad Ahead of Season Opener vs. Oklahoma State

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell wrestling team held its annual Bison Intrasquad on Friday in Davis Gym, which ended in a 29-11 win for the Orange Team.
While the Orange Team took eight of 11 bouts, Sam Barnes and Kolby DePron each registered major decisions for the Blue Team, and Luke Niemeyer (285) won the final bout of the evening.
Junior Nick Delp (157) topped Miles Bassett 17-5, and freshman Chase Barlow (165) defeated Matt Kidwell 13-3 in back-to-back major decisions for the Orange Team.
Freshman Braden Bower (141) collected six points for the Orange Team with a fall over fellow rookie Stephan Lukas.
The Blue Team was led by head coach Dan Wirnsberger and assistant coach Tyler Smith, while assistant coach Kevin LeValley and Evan Ramos guided the Orange Team.
Bucknell opens its 2022-23 season against Oklahoma State in Sojka Pavilion on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. It's a doubleheader with the men's basketball team's home game against Niagara, and ticket packages are on sale now at the Bucknell box office.
