LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Patriot League announced the first women's swimming and diving weekly awards of the 2015-16 season, and Bucknell's Emma Levendoski (Mandeville, La./Mandeville) was selected as the Corvias Swimmer of the Week.
Levendoski won all three backstroke events in Bucknell's season opener against UMBC, the defending champions in the America East. Out of 11 swimmers in the 200 back, the senior clocked in first at 2:02.90. She then swept the back events with a time of 56.61 in the 100 and 27.25 in the 50. Over four years against the Retrievers, Levendoski won all 12 individual events in which she competed.
The weekly award is just the latest in a list of many during Levendoski's career. Just one week into her senior season, she has earned a total of eight Patriot League Swimmer of the Week accolades. Levendoski has won 64 of her 85 career backstroke races.
The Bison will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 17 when they travel to Boston University for their Patriot League opener.
