2007 ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships: Complete Results
BOSTON, Mass. - On Sunday, Bucknell competed in the final day of the 2007 ECAC and IC4A Indoor Track and Field Championships. The women posted 31.50 points, which was good for sixth place, while the men notched a 10th-place showing with 27 points.
On the women's side, senior Marjorie Grap (Van Etten, N.Y./Spencer-Van-Etten) won the 20-lb weight throw with a toss of 61 feet, 11 ½ inches (18.88m). She becomes the second Bison athlete to win an ECAC indoor title in school history. In the pole vault, senior Melanie Buczko (Butler, Pa./Butler Area) posted a second-place finish, clearing a height of 12-7 ½ (3.85m). Also scoring in the pole vault was senior Angie Hall (Elkton, Md./Rising Sun), who cleared a height of 11-11 ¾ (3.65m), which was good for sixth.
Junior Erin Cranmer-Hart (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) finished fourth in the one-mile run with a time of 4 minutes, 53.78 seconds. Her time was a personal best and ranks her second in school history. Senior Christa Sawko (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) placed third in the 800 after running a time of 2:10.53.
For the men, freshman Kyle Anthony jumped for a distance of 47-10 ½ (14.59m) in the triple jump, which was good for seventh place. Junior Wallace Campbell (Montgomery, Ala./Montgomery Academy) placed 10th in the mile with a time of 4:16.23.
Senior Tyler Hoffman (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg), Buczko and Grap have met the NCAA provisional marks in their respective events and will have a chance to earn a spot in the NCAA Championships. The field will be announced later this week.
