Wrestling Team Falls in Final Dual Meet of the Season

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy won eight of ten matches en route to defeating visiting Bucknell, 31-8, in Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association action on Friday, February 16. The Bison fall to 7-11 overall and 2-2 in the EIWA.
Bucknell got the match started with a win when sophomore Josh Perrin (Boswell, Pa./Somerset) defeated his opponent, 16-0, at 125 pounds for a quick 5-0 lead. Navy rattled off four straight wins before senior co-captain Ryan Fasnacht (Tremont, Pa./Pine Grove) picked up an 8-4 decision at 165 to draw the Orange and Blue to within seven, 15-8.
Bucknell juniors Ben Chunko (Hellertown, Pa./Saucon Valley) and Brian Neuman (Eighty Four, Pa./Canon-McMillian) both dropped tough 3-1 overtime decisions at 174 and 184 pounds, respectively, and Navy would take the final two matches for the 31-8 win.
Bucknell is in action again on Saturday and Sunday, March 3-4 at the EIWA Championships at Pennsylvania.
