Wrestling Team Wins Second Match of the Day, Defeating Springfield

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Bucknell wrestling team continued its winning ways with a 30-12 non-conference victory over Springfield on Saturday, January 20. The match was held at Brown University.
Bucknell took the first seven matches of the meet, building an insurmountable 30-0 lead. Winners in the match included junior Ben Chunko (Hellertown, Pa./Saucon Valley) with a major decision at 174 pounds (13-2), junior Brian Falciglia (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) by fall in 5:55 at 197 pounds, sophomore Josh Perrin (Boswell, Pa./Somerset) with a 16-0 technical fall at 125 pounds, and sophomore Brandn Green (Port Matilda, Pa./State College) by fall in 2:22 at 141 pounds.. Also picking up decisions for the Orange and Blue were junior co-captain Brian Neuman (Eighty Four, Pa./Canon-McMillian), sophomore Carl Perrone (Flanders, N.J./Roxbury) and freshman Jeremy Weller (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola).
The Bison improve to 6-3 with the win and take on Sacred Heart later in the day.
